Welcome (Beta of New Community Site)

How to Start Playing << New players click here!

Welcome to NWNHaven, a social NWN2 persistent world multiplayer module, set in the Forgotten Realms. It is open only to players over the age of 18 due to adult content and mature themes. If that's your idea of fun we hope you will come in and enjoy yourself.

Haven is primarily a Roleplaying server with heavy Social overtones. Each new player must choose to enter their character into the world as a free person or a servant. Though player v. player (PvP) or character versus character (CvC as we prefer to call it) does exist, roleplaying is rewarded. CvC most often is engaged in through scheduled world events, such as tournaments and underlying roleplay plots and schemes.

While the focus of Haven is on roleplay, the world does accept sex and sexual behavior among player characters. For that reason, anyone suspected of being under the age of 18 will be asked to provide private proof of age to the DMs or permanently prohibited from the server.

Nature Guild Meeting

Event Date:
Monday, September 6, 2010 - 21:00 - 22:00

It has been too long since our last meeting, and its time we changed some things and made an attempt to breath some mew life into this group. As such, we will be holding a meeting (tentatively Sep. 6 @ 7:00 sever time ((PST))) at the Ranger Lodge. The meeting will be open to any with new ideas and suggestions, as well as some of my own I will be proposing.

I will be giving away a few items from the guild armory for those who attend, so I encourage all those who can to do so. If the time doesn't work, feel free to suggest a better date and time.

Hope to see you there.

In Character Accounts: Personae & Masquerade

This site has a new feature that allows users to create sub-accounts and switch back and forth between them. I think this is a great feature that will allow us to do more immersive RP even when not logged into the NWN2 client.

It is intended to be used to allow you to create a master player account (preferably matching your gamespy account name) and sub accounts for your characters.

Why new site and forums?

Why I am so keen on getting us off the old forums?

Let me count the reasons (in no particular order of importance):

  1. While the current forums have been very useful, they are controlled and supported by a third party. We can't get the data out of it in any particular useful way (to be able to restore from back-ups). In these turbulent times we may find it disappearing at a moments notice without recourse.

  2. Forums are inheritantly a limited media, would rather have an expanded functionality using more advanced software, this is a base for that.

New site and forums under way. Thank Zoop.

Update to Drupal 6, new custom theme. Thank you to Zoop (not a player, but webdesigner who's been extremely helpful).

We've preserved user accounts, and most of the wiki and gallery entries. Old forum posts, PMs and signatures and comments we decided not critical.

Old links will be made to work, but any links to old style "node" references probably won't work. Links to wiki pages and direct to images should work.
